Sun safety is paramount to us at HaloMates, Inc. It's fun to be in the sun, but without awareness of its dangers, people put themselves at risk every day without adequate protection. Ultraviolet radiation (UV) from the sun can create a variety of health problems. The damaging effects of UV rays from sun exposure can cause melanoma whether or not a sunburn occurs. We can and should take control of our skin's health by being educated about potential harms and vigilant about preventive and protective measures. Skin cancer is absolutely preventable.
It is our mission to be part of the solution. HaloMates, Inc. manufactures a line of protective hats that block the sun's damaging UV rays. The fabric used for every HaloMate hat and drape has been infused with protective agents that prevent harmful UV-A and UV-B rays from penetrating through the garment and damaging your skin. Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) is a rating system for fabrics akin to Sun Protection Factor (SPF) for skin. HaloMates hats have a UPF rating of 50+, which is the highest rating possible, thus providing you with the highest level of protection available. This "wearable skin care protection" shields your face, neck , ears, shoulders and upper back and helps preserve your youthful look while protecting you from skin damage.
